Know about Surgical Strikes

What is Sugical Strike?

Surgical strikes are a tactic used by the military to damage, destroy, or kill specific targets of an enemy while attempting to avoid injuring or killing civilians and/or friendly forces. Surgical strikes are a part of a military strategy in which a small group of combatants are able to silently and effectively take down their targets without being detected. The intent of surgical strikes is to not damage the surrounding areas or inflict casualties on friendly forces or civilians. In general, surgical strike missions are conducted in a very similar manner to Special Operations raids against suspected terrorist targets.

Uses of Surgical Strike?

For example, this type of operation is used when the military is in an area where terrorists or militia members pose a threat. It is also used when the military does not have all the information about their enemy and is looking for a quick solution. The goal of a surgical strike is to target a specific individual without harming the rest of the group. A surgical strike can be carried out at any time, with or without the knowledge of the enemy.

Dangers of Surgical Strikes?

Even though there are risks involved in conducting a surgical strike, there are potential benefits as well. The primary benefit is that it can be executed quickly and without the enemy knowing it is occurring. This is especially beneficial if the enemy is a clandestine or hidden organization. The second benefit is that the enemy does not have any knowledge of the operation, making it more successful.

Types of Surgical Strikes?

There are three types of surgical strikes that have been used in history, including “hit to kill,” “hit to maim,” and “hit to scare.” This paper focuses on the “hit to kill” type of surgical strike. Most of the time, surgical strikes are used against terrorists or enemy personnel. There are many different ways that a military can conduct a surgical strike depending on the scenario.
